Geoffrey Key Paintings has just been published. The book was launched on 15 May 2008 at the highly succesful opening of Key's exhibiton at ClarkArt, Hale, Cheshire UK. This hardback book illustrates seventy three oil paintings covering four decades and a wide range of subject matter. It includes a detailed overview and appreciation by David Gunning of Todmorden Fine Art. Each decade of work is introduced with a brief history and archive photographs. The price is UK£30.00 plus p&p.
Geoffrey Key Twentieth Century Drawings is a numbered edition of just five hundred copies. It records the evolution of Key's work over forty years and comprises two hundred and fifteen pages with ninety-one drawings and sketches reproduced at actual size. The narrative includes contemporary comments from collectors, curators and critics. Price is UK£30.00 plus p&p.
Images illustrates forty oil paintings by Geoffrey Key in full colour, each accompanied by a poem or quotation. Geoffrey and Judith published this book in memory of Geoffrey's late mother and in suppport of St Lukes (Cheshire) Hospice. The hospice recieves the total cover price of UK£25.
Clowns covers a single, unique, series of paintings from the summer of 2001. Originating in Key's themes of jesters, musicians and dancers the series explores the complex imagery of the clown - the rumbustious auguste and elegant pierrot - both bringers of joy, yet with undercurrents of sadness and unease. The book includes 31 colour illustrations and contributions from respected art collectors and galleries. Price is UK£15.00 plus p&p.
